Julia Thompson Julia Anne Thompson, 71, of Stephenville passed away on January 26, 2024. She was born in Odessa, Texas on April 17, 1952 to Vernon & Dortha (Dalton) Grimm and raised in Hamilton, Texas.

Julia lived an extraordinary life characterized by love and compassion for every human and non-human such as cats and dogs that she encountered, leaving a mark on countless hearts. As a nurse, she assisted and comforted many during their times of need. Yet, her most exceptional quality was the profound care she extended to every individual she met, not only in moments of crisis but also on a personal level.

There is almost no one that got to know her that didn’t experience Julia laughing with you but her also doing whatever she could to help from just sitting there or driving you all over town as needed.

Her legacy is defined by the deep connections she forged, and she will be remembered most for the lives she touched. Julia, a devoted mother, leaves behind three beloved c h i l d ren— Charl o t t e, Aaron, and Katy.

Julia has been an integral part of the Ahluwalia family. It is impossible to fully convey the impact she had on us all. She was a true-life companion to Jasbir, and a source of wisdom and comfort to Nobby and Hemi. Julia was there and that in and of itself mattered the most. During the illness of Nobby and Hemi’s mother, Nanda Ahluwalia, she cared for her and provided peace and comfort during her last days. Julia provided religious prayers in Nanda’s last hours. The void left by her absence is not easy to measure.

Her influence will forever resonate in our hearts, and she will be dearly missed.

She is survived by Jasbir Ahluwalia, Charlotte Weller, Aaron Thompson, Katy Thompson, Nobby Ahluwalia, Hemi Ahluwalia, Kathy & Doug Clark and 4 grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Lake Granbury Hospital for providing excellent care of Julia as she battled Acute Leukemia. She did not want any funeral services. Donations in her memory can be made to The Erath County Humane Society.
